Fred Fanganello With over 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience in Western US, Fred Fanganello has structured well in excess of $1 billion of financing on all types of commercial properties. During his finance career he also co-developed 3 large apartment complexes in Northern Colorado including a 192 unit LIHTC project, and is the Owner/Manager of several retail and industrial properties. This combination of lending and ownership experience has produced strong results and profitable transactions for both lenders and borrowers through creative yet sound financial structuring. BERKADIA COMMERCIAL MORTGAGE In December 2009, Warren Buffett’s group purchased the North American loan origination and servicing division of Capmark Finance, one of the nation’s largest most successful commercial real estate financing firms with both direct lending capacities as well as funding via a premier mortgage banking network with dozens of correspondent life insurance companies. In addition, the firm has capital to invest on behalf of major pension funds, and originates these opportunities through their various national mortgage banking network. Fred Fanganello has consistently been a top loan producer and has previously worked for Credit Suisse/Column Financial in both Irvine, CA and Denver. He had his own firm for 12 years Guarantee Finance Corp in Denver, Colorado. In the 1980’s he worked for Northland Financial Company in Southern California; Mellon Financial Services in Denver; and began his career with Colorado National Mortgage Company in 1981 Fred Fanganello is a licensed broker in both California and Colorado, and has been active in the MBA, CMBA, ICSC, NAIOP, and AAMD industry associations Fred Fanganello earned his BSBA degree for University of Denver, with a Major in Finance.
