Thomas A. Gougeon is a Principal and Chief Development Officer for Continuum Partners, LLC. Continuum is a developer of mixed use, urban infill projects. Continuum is the developer of the $850 million conversion of a failing regional mall into the Belmar mixed use district in Lakewood, CO as well as the 125-acre new urbanist village of Bradburn in Westminster, CO. Continuum was also the developer of the Art House project, a group of high end townhomes co-located with a condominium tower and the new home of the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art. Continuum is also the developer of the Belleview Station site in southeast Denver and the Kent Place mixed use site in Englewood, CO. Continuum and East West Partners have also formed the Union Station Neighborhood Company, the private master developer for the Union Station multi-modal transportation hub in downtown Denver. Prior to joining Continuum, Tom served as the Director of the W.M.B. Berger Foundation and as the CEO of the Stapleton Redevelopment Foundation. Tom also served for eight years in the Office of the Mayor of the City and County of Denver from 1983-1991.
Tom served as a Commissioner of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority from 1990-2000 and has serves as a Commissioner of the Denver Water Board since 2004. Tom has also served on the boards of numerous community organizations, including The Nature Conservancy, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado, the Urban Land Conservancy, Neighborhood Housing Services, Preservation Action, the Piton Foundation, the Stapleton Foundation and many others.
Tom received a B.A in Economics and Political Science from the University of Denver and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
