Jack Pappalardo earned his Juris Doctor at Syracuse College of Law and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
Mr. Pappalardo came to Denver as Vice-President, Canadian Counsel for Denver based Quiznos Corporation. Jack joined Otten Johnson’s successful commercial real estate practice group in 2004 and specializes in commercial retail and office leasing.
In 2004 Jack accepted the position of President of Denver’s ArtDistrict on Santa Fe, at the time an association of 17 gallery owners with a mission to promote awareness of Santa Fe Drive between 6th and 10th Avenues as a unique art and cultural district A challenging task given the area’s rough reputation at the time.
Mr. Pappalardo started by reestablishing stale relationships within the community. Next was creating new partnerships with the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau and with the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs. The ArtDistrict now has 58 members, including galleries, designers, dance studio, coffee shop, restaurants, architects and a yoga studio. “First Friday” art walks in the ‘District are now legendary with up to 7,000 patrons enjoying art in the 40 plus galleries and artist studios that stay open late the first Friday of each month. Travel + Leisure magazine and CNN have pegged the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe as one of the “Top 5 new art districts in America.” In 2008 Jack was appointed by the Mayor to serve on an advisory board of Create Denver, an economic development department of the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, with a mission to improve the working environment for Denver’s commercial creative organizations and individuals.
Jack and his talented multi-media artist wife Georgia Amar have owned and operated Habitat Gallery & Studio in the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe since 2003.
